Project Description: Well ventilated office spaces

Nestle House is a landmark building in York, UK, and a vital hub for Nestle’s operations in the region. When the upper floors of the building required a £2 million mechanical refurbishment, Nestle turned to Climatix Group LTD for their expertise and experience.

Climatix Group LTD has an ongoing relationship with Nestle House and has been integral to the completion of many projects at the site. For this project, Climatix provided Nestle with a guaranteed service, ensuring that the project would be completed on time and within budget.

The refurbishment involved the installation of new chilled water plant equipment, heating and cooling through fan coil units connected to low-temperature hot water, chilled water systems, and heat recovery ventilation systems on each floor. Additionally, new sanitary installations were installed throughout the upper floors of Nestle House.

As part of the design works, Climatix produced Revit models and 2D CAD drawings incorporating all mechanical and electrical containment. This enabled more cohesive working between the trades and was invaluable to the success of the project.

The project was completed in February 2021, and the results were impressive. The newly refurbished upper floors of Nestle House are now equipped with state-of-the-art mechanical systems that are more energy-efficient, reliable, and cost-effective.
