Getting heating right in a large warehouse is harder than it sounds. Conventional heating systems struggle with the ceiling heights involved, and a building where loading bay doors are opening and closing all day is constantly losing heat at ground level. Get the system wrong and you end up with a building that’s cold at floor level where your staff are working, while warm air sits uselessly at roof height.

Destratification fans are often part of the solution in high-bay warehouses, pushing warm air back down to where it’s needed and dramatically improving the efficiency of whatever heating system is in place. For the heating plant itself, we work with gas-fired unit heaters, commercial boilers, radiant heating and air source heat pumps depending on the size and layout of your facility and what makes most sense for your energy costs.

We’re also increasingly helping warehousing clients with decarbonisation. Assisting with replacing ageing gas plant with heat pump technology, improving insulation and controls, or reducing overall energy consumption across the site.
